Photo Exhibition

The Exhibition seems to have been another great success, especially so as it was back in the library this year. Thanks to all who helped set it up, man it and take it down – and special thanks to Nita and Stephen for all their work printing and mounting the photographs and Colin for the titles.

I was reminded of a picture I took exactly three years ago today, when we were preparing for the first Exhibition. Stephen, Andrew, Jerry and I spent a long evening cutting the frames individually to size for each picture.

Sorry  you couldn’t see this exhibition too, Jerry.

Dear members,

Just to let you all know the subject for October is ‘Willingham Feast’, this can be any photos you take of the festivities at the feast weekend or during the week. See the programme on the Willingham Life website for details of what is going on.

The new gang of four will be meeting in the next couple of weeks to discuss the rest of the subjects for their 6 month reign.

Photographic Exhibition

Colin has kindly offered to produce the labelling to go with our photographs. Thank you Colin for this. Please could members email Colin direct with the following info:

  • Title of your photograph,
  • Your name,
  • Technical details (Camera + lens, shutter speed, aperture, film speed)

Feast Exhibition

Dear members

This is now an urgent plea to get your exhibition photos in.

Please email them to Stephen on art@mindakart.co.uk

If you have sent your photos in then thank you.

We currently only have 22 photos that have been sent to us. It takes time to print them that is why we need them now and not a few weeks or days before.

If you have not been for a while we would love to see back: our current subject is liquids.

Feast Exhibition 2012

Willingham Feast weekend is the 6th and 7th October.

We are hoping that we can run another exhibition this year. The library was being refurbished to enable self service last year so we were unable to use it as a venue. This year it is available again, so the exhibition will be returning there. This  means that we will need to wait for the library to close on the Saturday morning before we can set up.

We will be asking for volunteers to help with setting up and dismantling the exhibition, as well as members to be available to answer any questions that visitors to the exhibition may have. There will be a sign up sheet closer to the date.

We request that each member supply 2 photographs:

  • 1 photograph from our categories over the past year,
  • 1 photograph to be your free choice.

These need to be supplied by the Club Meeting on the 20th of August.

We need to get them printed so please crop your photos to 12 x 16 inches at 240 DPI resolution. If you don’t know how to change DPI then please just send them and Stephen will change this for you.

Please email them to art@mindakart.co.uk along with a title for the image, your name, telephone number and email address.
