Fund Raising Auction

Dear members,

Stephen would like to ask you to help fund raise for his London exhibition in June. This will entail a print auction in Cambridge on the 7th of April starting at 6:30 and bidding begins at 7:15. It will be held at 2648 Club, on Trinity Street Cambridge.

Prints have been promised from some well known photographers, we will keep you informed of the list.

If you would like to donate prints for the auction, he requires them to be between 10×8 to 20×16, please also supply a small image for the catalogue. These small images will need to be emailed to Stephen and prints given to him on our club night on the 21st of March.
Everyone is welcome to attend the print auction and the exhibition in London. Details of which will be given closer to the date in June.

If you have any questions please email Stephen directly on art@mindakart.co.uk
We would both like to say a huge thank you for supporting Stephen in this venture.

Kindest regards,
Anita

The Real Meaning

of Common Photographic Words and Expressions explained:

Part 1 and Part 2

Examples:

landscape photographer: Semi-autistic person who likes spending long periods on their own and didn’t fancy taking up fishing.

Golden Hour: Period of the day during which landscape photographers further alienate themselves from their loved ones by disappearing at precisely the same time as the evening meal is being served.

Shaw’s Corner

Yesterday, I went down to Shaw’s Corner, the home of George Bernard Shaw, with my son-in-law who has been working there. I took some interior shots and this one, in the Museum Room, I thought might be of interest to our members.

It might provide some of us with encouragement and a true sense of our worth in the artistic scheme of things.
